Hanging between Love And Pain

If sleepless nights were a boon
I'd say he's blessed with no bound
Only that he would still scorn
The dose of coffee he intake to stay awake
To work like others when the sun shines.

The fear of her walking away forever
Has tamed him to blame endlessly
For the small lies multiplied over the years
Love and failed promises get merged
To juggle hearts molded in love
The world slowly turns blacker.

Confused about the fights and lies
She cries trying to know what's right
People could have told her not to forgive
Yet leaving seems like a dream within a dream
Being hurt again is what she fears most
Learning to hate isn't in her plate either.
Love hurts when trust is shaken
But love is still love everyday.

He stares into the evening horizon
Expecting her calls like in the past
To waken the phone that's now silenced.
Days are now forcibly buried
Nights come to awaken every guilt
A companion that makes eyes swell
Is love dying slowly and gradually?
